YOUTHESTA 2023 Event
College Fest is an annual cultural event in a college organized by the student community, involving participants as well. It is the best way to learn teamwork, makes students culturally sensitive and most importantly teaches them to achieve self planned goals.
Cultural skills help students later in their career when they go out in search of a job. Their soft skills become an added value in getting hired by a company in campus placement or otherwise.
The students of NAFDI are determined to bring fresh perspective change towards society.
Experiential Learning
We are committed to the holistic development of our students to ensure superior outcomes and strong employability prospects. The teaching methodology at NAFDI comprises Classroom Sessions, Master Class, Case Studies, Practical Training, Group Work and Discussions. The approach is to have the right balance of theory, practice and experience. The “real world relevance” is vital throughout the programme.

The objective of including internships is to promote collaboration with practising designers in meaningful and relevant off-campus learning experiences. Internships introduce students to the professional office and practice. In addition to this students earn academic credit for what they learn in the off-campus experience. The internship goal is to fill the gap between the academic and professional worlds, where the student can see the profession in a fairly non threatening manner and get an overview of the profession in all its details. The internship is a part of the NAFDI’s curriculum.

The Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Programme enhances the students’ learning experience through the use of online and mobile technologies within and outside the classroom, allowing them to work on course materials, participate in a collaborative learning environment thus making them tech-savvy. Inclusion of software like AUTOCAD, Revit, Rhino Photoshop in the curricula is aimed at providing a robust technical education, articulate Design ideas and improve presentation skills thus making students industry ready.

Industrial Training and Internships are an integral part of the curriculum that prepares the students to take on the industry challenges. Interior Design internships offer unique and exciting experiences to the students where they apply creative and technical skills within a project based environment. Interior Design internship job responsibilities may include: assisting in client presentations, resource updating, vendor management, assisting senior designers, participating in design teams etc.
NAFDI works closely with businesses to understand the skills required within the industry. Our internship and placement process is an integral part of our students’ life during and after their course.
